So UNVOGUE: Diesel Black & Gold For Men

Posted on 13 July 2010 by MisterEditor

Men’s Milan Fashion Week may be long gone, but check out this unique video featuring Diesel’s Black Gold collection and UK electro-indie rockers, These New Puritans.

The Diesel Black Gold man is a city rebel. Military uniforms are reworked into tough outerwear. Conversely, knitwear takes inspiration from vintage undergarments. Protective gear features detachable plastrons of leather vests that gleam with metal hardware. Shirts for daytime and evening also glitter with carapaces of sequins or metallic applications. Techno-voile adds an unexpected poetry to jackets, shirts, knitwear and sneakers. Denim for men is slim-fit, but occasionally shows off this season’s new drop crotch. Tones have the grey or green cast of battledress while a layer of resin is applied on the light Japanese cloth denim.

So Limited, So Brave, So UNVOGUE!

Posted on 07 May 2010 by MisterEditor

Taking inspiration from the season’s most daring and courageous action hero, Diesel introduces Only The Brave Iron Man, a limited edition fragrance celebrating the iconic comic book hero. In honor of the upcoming theatrical release, Diesel is re-imaging its signature Only The Brave fist design in bold red and gold colors for a limited time, evoking the power and strength of Iron Man. The fragrance is housed in a unique, one-of-a-kind box featuring graphics from the original Iron Man comic.

Inspired by visionary artists, icons and rebels, Only The Brave is for men who take a stand and control their own destiny, seizing opportunities and making a difference. The scent represents the qualities of the brave, symbolized by a fist that tells several stories: facing forward, the fist evokes power and energy; upright, it stands for self-affirmation; raised, it signifies victory, success and engagement.

The fragrance is available at major department stores like Macy’s, Dillard’s, Belk, Bon Ton and Diesel boutiques, and online at http://bit.ly/DieselIsBraveSweeps. We are currently giving away 10 bottles on our Facebook page so make sure to enter today (through May 9)!

UNVOGUE’s Navy Issue Launch Party

Posted on 11 March 2010 by MisterEditor

As we celebrated our 2nd annual men’s issue, we also commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. UNVOGUE used this opportunity to kickoff gay pride weekend 2009 and raise awareness to the H.I.V Arts Network. The event was covered by our guest host Adrien Field and we had an eclectic performance by Alexandra Alexis. As eloquently stated by our creative director Malcolm A. Harris “We’re UNVOGUE, we didn’t bring sexy back, we brought SEX back to NYC”. Thanks to our sponsors Sapphire Go Go Lounge, Pepsi and Macari Wines.
